An 8 week course connecting with food through nutrition and creativity.
Cwrs 8 wythnos i gysylltu â bwyd drwy faeth a chreadigrwydd.
Join us on this exciting 8 week course to celebrate all things to do with food! We will be learning how to create delicious and show-stopping dishes, decorate a dinner table using tableware inspired by nature (such as botanical dyeing and dried flower arranging) and there is also the opportunity to gain a Level 1 Community Food & Nutrition qualification (accredited by Agored Cymru).
Grangetown Kitchen Garden, is our flagship community farm and with the help of our trainees and volunteers, we grow a range of vegetables and salad crops, including microgreens all year round using Polycrubs, raised beds, vertical farming methods and hydroponic techniques. We use our produce on site as part of our weekly market and cooking courses.
Urban-Vertical CIC and the Arts for Health and Wellbeing Team at Cardiff & Vale Health Charity are thrilled to receive funding for an exciting new project, A Space To Grow – Lle i Dyfu, which connects growing and creating.
Lle I Dyfu was an experimental art project themed around local, sustainable food production. Throughout spring 2023 we hosted a series of free arts workshops funded by CILIP (Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals) in collaboration with Penarth Library Makerspace.
